Dr. Doyle Goes To Haiti For The Seventh Time

Next month, Dr. Dan Doyle will be going on his seventh dental mission to Haiti. Dr. Paul Callahan, Dr. Phil Doyle and Dr. Dan Doyle will be there for a one week mission with the Haitian Health foundation (HHF).

The HHF improves the health and well-being of women, children, families and communities living in the greater Jérémie region of Haiti through healthcare, education and community development. When the HHF originally was established 37 years ago, Jeremie was the poorest city, in the poorest country in the Western hemisphere. Dr. Jeremiah Lowney started the foundation and initially extracted teeth on the streets of Port au Prince. Now the HHF serves 250,000 people in the Jeremie area.

In January, Dr. Callahan, Dr. P. Doyle and Dr. D. Doyle will be extracting teeth. Patient will also receive oral hygiene instructions, toothbrushes and toothpaste. Sometimes we are able to provide restorative dentistry, but this is not the norm. Most days are spent extracting teeth. The villagers are very grateful and we are happy to provide them the dental services they desperately need.
